In carbonate reservoirs, dissolved caves provide more storage space for CO2 than other voids.
Carbonate reservoirs can dissolve 13~62 times and mineralize 1 time more of CO2 than saline aquifers.
The annual storage capacity per well of carbonate reservoirs and saline aquifers are comparable.
The minimum unit storage capacity of CO2 for carbonate reservoirs is around 4 times that of saline aquifers.
