    1. Regenerative therapies promote soft tissue repair in sports injuries beyond symptom relief.

Biological therapies reduce inflammation and promote cell differentiation, facilitating tissue regeneration.

Tissue engineering and organoids offer structural and functional reconstruction of tissues.

Clinical translation requires standardization, long-term validation, and personalized treatment strategies.

  • Sports injuries are one of the most common diseases, and the repair and regeneration of joint soft tissues (ligaments, tendons, cartilage, etc.) involved in them are challenging. Traditional treatment strategies, such as drugs, physical therapy, and surgery, are difficult to achieve tissue regeneration and reconstruction of natural physiological functions. Regenerative medicine offers promising solutions, including biotherapy, tissue engineering, prosthesis or organ transplantation. These approaches aim to regenerate damaged tissues, reduce recovery time, and improve functional outcomes. Stem cells from different sources and their constructed organoids, novel biomaterials, 3D printing and other innovative technologies have been used. Individual variability, uncertain long-term efficacy, and high costs remain obstacles for clinical application. Further research is needed to explore the molecular mechanisms underlying regenerative therapies and orchestrate biological, physical and chemical factors.
