Ten years of FAST: the advance and future plan in technology and science
Since the completion of construction, the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) has made several achievements in both engineering and astrophysics. The technological innovations ensure the stable and efficient operation of the telescope. On this basis, the observations with FAST made a series of cognitive-boundary-breaking discoveries in pulsars, neutral hydrogen (HI), fast radio bursts (FRB), and gravitational waves. In the future, the FAST core array will enhance the observational studies with FAST. With the extension of the observational parameter space, our cognitive boundary will be further extended.
