Sharing articles and storing media
Innovation's Press policy on article sharing and hosting its own content.
We always encourage authors to share their work with the scientific community through conference presentations and other discussions. We also understand that some of our authors might choose to share copies of their manuscripts by posting them online on a preprint server. With online posting, we appreciate that information about the work is publicly available and might therefore be covered by media outlets or other venues and that authors might be contacted by and speak to reporters, but please note that early coverage can impact media interest in a paper at the time of publication.
Please contact The Innovation office (office@the-innovation.org) if you or your press officer need embargo information for your paper, you plan on hosting a press conference, or there are special circumstances that you would like to discuss.
Prepublication publicity
The Innovation Informatics supports broad visibility and accurate communication of scientific advances. We operate an embargoed press release system to ensure timely and responsible media coverage.
Accepted manuscripts may be shared with accredited journalists under embargo up to one week before publication. Media coverage should be coordinated within the embargo window. We ask that authors do not actively promote their work before this period.
We encourage authors to discuss their work in conferences or academic settings at any time. If a manuscript is posted to a public preprint server, we understand that this may lead to early media coverage. Please be aware that such early visibility might affect media interest at the official publication date.
For questions related to embargoes, press releases, or special communication plans, please contact the editorial office at office@the-innovation.org or refer to the journal's individual "For Authors" page for journal-specific contact information.
Direct Marketing
Any direct marketing activities, including solicitation of manuscripts, that are conducted on behalf of the journal should be appropriate, well targeted, and unobtrusive. Information provided about the publisher or journal should be truthful and not misleading for readers or authors.
